Garret Mauldin, Vice President of Surgeon Training and Engineering

Garret Mauldin is a seasoned engineering executive with a proven
track record of taking products from concept to production. His career spans over 20 years in product development/design, manufacturing
processes and operations, quality assurance, product positioning, mergers, acquisitions and strategic planning for both mid-stage
commercial growth and start-up organizations.
Most recently, he has served as a Consultant to Wright Medical Technologies (WMT) where he was responsible for ensuring a smooth
transition of INBONE products into WMT operations.
Prior to this role, Mr. Mauldin served as Vice President of Engineering and Medical Education at INBONE Technologies, where he
was the chief designer of the company’s flagship product, the INBONE Total Ankle. He also developed the associated intramedullary
guidance device which continues to produce the most accurate installation of any total ankle on the market. Mr. Mauldin led a team
that successfully introduced INBONE products to the surgical market, leading over 150 cadaver training labs and proctoring orthopedic
surgeons nationwide.
Mr. Mauldin has also successfully designed products in other arenas, including fiber optics, automotive, and industrial equipment,
resulting in numerous patents. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical
Engineering.

Up to 25% of all low back pain is SI Joint in origin – but the diagnosis of SI Joint disease is frequently overlooked. (Cohen, et al.)
It is common to link low back pain with protruding disc even when neurological signs are absent. (Weksler, et al.)

Now there is an approach to surgical management of SI Joint dysfunction that’s easier and less invasive than traditional open surgery.
